We purchased a pool route of about 50 pools on January 2, 2023, from one of our retired battalion chiefs, (Mel), from our fire department. John had worked for him for two years before the purchase. Mel decided to fully retire and wanted a way out so he thought no better way than to pass it on to two firemen he used to work with. By the end of our first year, we doubled the number of customers on weekly service. We have one full-time technician and one other GFD firefighter working part time. We are currently in the process of adding another full-time employee and have a goal to double the number of customers on weekly service by the end of our second year.

As for the what we do and the type of service we provide… we pride ourselves in attention to detail in cleaning and chemically balancing our pools. We go above and beyond the way chemically treat our pools. Chemical balance is the single most important aspect of servicing a swimming pool and we take it seriously. We test more readings that a normal pool company does. Most companies will only test for Chlorine, pH and alkalinity. These are the main readings needed for basic water balance. We go well above this and test for CYA once a month as this is a very stable reading, Calcium hardness once a month, total dissolved solids TDS, and water temperature. These last 4 are very important as they are needed to determine the Langelier saturation index (LSI). This is very important because this is what determines how aggressive your water balance can be to attacking the plaster and integrity of your pool. When out of balance, either way, it will either damage your plaster by etching which will result in pitting, or scaling which will put a layer of calcium build up all around the pool. We truly care for our customer’s pools as they are a very big investment and don’t want anything we do to damage it. We also dilute/dissolve our chemicals before adding them to customers’ pools. Specifically free pouring muriatic acid will sink straight to the bottom of the pool and cause damage, over time, to the spot the acid is poured. For that reason we dilute/dissolve our chemicals before adding them.

Full Orenda Add-on - charges based off dosage at the time of service.

Includes weekly dosages of Orenda’s CV-600 Enzyme Water Cleaner and SC-1000 Scale and Metal Control. CV-600 is a unique, stabilized enzyme that effectively breaks down and digests non-living organic waste and oils in water. These carbon-based contaminants are commonly found in pools, spas and other recreational water. Without an enzyme like CV-600 (or CV-700), organic waste needs to be oxidized to be removed from water.

SC-1000 is our award-winning, environmentally-friendly chelating agent that binds to metals and minerals. SC-1000 is great for pool startups (and is indeed essential to The Orenda Startup™ process). It is also used for ongoing maintenance to help prevent carbonate scale formation and metal oxidation/staining.

Our Mission
